Fiery sunsets and fancy light shows

Sentosa was definitely a fun place to visit. As the sun started to set, we took our seats at the amphitheatre on Palawan Beach. Yes, there's a Palawan in Singapore too!

Anyway, the sunset in itself already was an awesome light show. The sky started turning orange as we settled into our seats.

It's one of the most dramatic sunsets I've ever seen! Sorry, Manila Bay, but this Palawan Beach sunset has got to be the most vibrant orange I've witnessed so far.

Mommy, Daddy, and I were quite happy to sit down after a day of walking. Yes, I made Mommy walk a lot while in Sentosa because she didn't have much of a choice. Actually, there's the train but if we took that, we'd miss seeing many of the sights. It made us achieve the 10,000 steps-a-day thing for health.

We thought that the orange glow was the climax... but we were wrong. The sky turned bloody red! That made me shoot in manual mode because the pre-programmed settings in my camera just made for pale colours... and I wanted to capture the crimson sky.

And after that fiery display, the sky calmed back down to orange. Then, a drizzle began. We were starting to dig into our bags for our umbrellas but someone pointed excitedly at the two rainbows right behind us.

What a spectacle Mother Nature had in store for us! We didn't know where to look! This, literally, was the golden hour and we just had to take it all in.

It was a good reminder, lest we forget, because Sentosa also prepared an amazing show for us... albeit man-made.

There was water being sprayed from the sea, creating a wall on which the laser lights were projected. I wasn't paying much attention to the story; rather, I was watching the animation.

The show wasn't complete without fireworks, so it ended with fountains of fire.

Now that's the way to end our short visit to Sentosa. It was an exhausting day, we found, as we trudged with the other visitors back to the pick-up point. But the show allowed us to rest and recharge while giving us a light show that won't be easy to forget.
