I went on a day trip to the City of Pines, which was around a 700-km drive from my house. I drove going up there and then from the city to Victoria, Tarlac. After that, my dad took over the driving duties. It was day trip with Tita Ising and Tito Sibing with us. Anyway, this trip was my first time to go to Baguio City with me behind the wheel. As everyone who drives up knows, there are three main routes to Baguio from the lowlands: Kennon Road, which ascends from Rosario, La Union. It was out of my options because it's too dangerous to use that road in the rainy season. The second route is via Naguilian Road, which makes my trip a lot longer because the beginning of the ascent is in Bauang, La Union (further north). The last route, and the one I took, was the Marcos Highway, now known as the Aspiras-Palispis Highway. This 47-km road starts from Agoo, La Union and is touted as the safest route among the three. As I drove up and then down (on the same day; we were in Bagu

ReplyDeletemanual. at least 4 second shutter speed. aperture about 4 to 5.6; white balance was not touched though it should have been. pwede!
ReplyDeletethanks nats! i should try your suggestions next time i go to a water fall. yep, it's on manual, with VR mode on. couldn't recall the actual settings, but should be around f/22 at 1" shutter speed (or was this for the water fountain at fort santiago...hmm...). i have never tried 4 seconds yet. maybe when i get a better stabler spot to put the tripod on. the camera was on a tripod submerged in silt. white balance was not touched... forgot to (the setting was at fluorescent bulb, i think). THANKS!!!
ReplyDeletehaha! kaya babies kasi tuta at bata.

ReplyDeletetry mo next time to set a smaller aperture para focused din ung falls sa likod.
you can also try using an ND filter para you can get even longer shutter speeds. :D
ReplyDeletethanks for the nice comment and the tip! sige,sige... subukan ko siya pagbalik ko sa waterfalls :)
ReplyDeleteano yung ND filter?
ReplyDeletei like this, i keep wondering if you run ahead of them so you can take shots of them coming towards you and then lag behind so you can take shots like this - and then run ahead of them again LOL :) kakapagod!!
ReplyDeletehaha i like this - nag pose talaga silang dalawa lol
LOL
ReplyDeleteyes! i was actually walking fast and then go to the end of the pack, and then back in front again! that with my camera around my neck, and my tripod in the camping bag with my spare clothes, packed lunch, and drinks. we can go back there if you want. :)
ReplyDeletehaha! good timing. lumapit yung tuta sa wall... tada! good photo op! :)
